FHIR's $export operation for population-level data. NDJSON output, signed URLs, asynchronous. The backbone of payer / provider bulk handoffs and CMS-mandated APIs.
Designed for "give me all of this group's Observations from the last year as files." Returns links to NDJSON files in object storage.
POST /Group/123/$export?_type=Patient,Observation
→ 202 + Content-Location header pointing at status URL
GET <status_url>
→ 202 (in progress) or 200 with NDJSON file URLs
